Gosh, I can’t believe its already been five days since I’ve been back from Paris. Paris was an absolute dream come true, from its charm to its picturesque beauty every where you turned. I love that city so much. I always tell my friends that even the air feels different, they look at me like I’m crazy, LOL. This time I was lucky enough to spend three days during Paris Fashion Week. Thankfully, my brother’s agenda wasn’t as full as it normally is, so he decided to tag along and help take some photos of me in between his business meetings. So grateful for him, truly. While in Paris, we stayed at the stunning and innovative Lyric Opera Hotel. Photos of the hotel will follow in the next post.

I’m always thinking of creative ideas for the blog. One of them was to do inspirational outfits of some my favorite fashion icons. So when I found out I was going to Paris, it was almost a given that I would do an Audrey Hepburn-esque shoot. I, like many women before me, hereby declare Audrey Hepburn my official classic style icon. Her closet was full of the many fashion staples women still swear by today: fitted pants, the “LBD,” cropped silhouettes and an envious assortment of hats and earrings. She wasn’t afraid to wear pants (or a suit!) and always retained an aura of femininity with her outfit choices. But what I love best about Hepburn’s style was her hearty attitude. She was able to make such groundbreaking sartorial choices because she was confident in her own skin and didn’t take life too seriously.

As you can tell this outfit is inspired from her movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I however, added a mordern twist to it. Sometimes a simple black dress is all you need. This allows your natural features to get some attention too. The gorgeous statement necklace from Zara adds a touch of glamour to the otherwise monochromatic ensemble. Gloves give that added sophistication to this outfit. Lastly, you need the timeless black heels to tie everything together.

I think my brother is such a naturally good photographer! This is the first shoot ever shot by him, and I am so impressed with his skills. I always knew he was a good photographer because his Instagram is full of breathtaking scenic shots. But he is a business man, not a photographer so I was astounded looking through these photos. Gah, what shall I do with my multi talented siblings?! haha

Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
Until next time my dears :)
